Behavior of IMERG precipitation extremes with temperature at different spatial resolution

چکیده

Abstract The Clausius-Clapeyron equation determines how saturation vapor pressure increases with temperature, which is important in determining variations extreme precipitation. Regionally, the scaling of C–C does not vary significantly, but relationship precipitation does. In this study, from Integrated Multisatellite Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement (IMERG) tested its accuracy rates temperature (termed factor). We utilized IMERG data across Indian Sub-continent at 0.1° × 0.1°, 0.25° and 0.5° spatial resolution 2001 to 2020 datasets. Our findings show that, there a transition Measurement’s extremes estimations (95th percentile) around 30 °C over sub C–C. This study also evaluates sensitivity different regimes India having homogeneous climatology. It found that southeast highly sensitive resolution, as it shows steep slopes high dew point temperatures. first evaluate on analysis most previous studies have considered temporal variations.

Detectability of anthropogenic changes in annual temperature and precipitation extremes

This paper reports on a study of temperature and precipitation indices that may be suitable for the early detection of anthropogenic change in climatic extremes. Anthropogenic changes in daily minimum and maximum temperature and precipitation over land simulated with two different atmosphere-ocean general circulation models are analyzed. The use of data from two models helps to assess which cha...

Efficient Bayesian Hierarchical Modeling of Spatial Precipitation Extremes

An efficient Bayesian hierarchical model for spatial extremes on a large domain is proposed. In the data layer a Gaussian elliptical copula having generalized extreme value (GEV) marginals is applied. Spatial dependence in the GEV parameters are captured with a latent spatial regression. Using a composite likelihood approach and a method for incorporating stations with missing data, we are able...

Precipitation deficits increase high diurnal temperature range extremes

The relationship between precipitation deficits and extreme hot temperatures has been documented in observation and modeling studies. However, it is unclear whether and how increases in maximum temperatures will impact diurnal temperature range (DTR) extremes. Here, we used observational data sets from meteorological stations in China to examine the trends in high DTR extremes from 1971 to 2013...

Evaluation of Error in IMERG Precipitation Estimates under Different Topographic Conditions and Temporal Scales over Mexico

This study evaluates the precipitation product of the Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement (IMERG) over the Mexican region during the period between April 2014 and October 2015 using three different time scales for cumulative precipitation (hourly, daily and seasonal). Also, the IMERG data have been analyzed as a function of elevation given the rain gauges ...
